The hallmark program of a Shepherd’s Center is Adventures in Learning.   In this educational model,
mature adults are the teachers and the students, the planners and the participants.  People from the
community and those of a variety of faiths and backgrounds come together for a Friday morning of
challenging classes, stimulating discussions, fun and fellowship.  The purpose of Adventures in Learning
is to provide a local arena for older adults to share their knowledge, talents, skills and new interests with
peers in a quest for lifelong learning and personal growth.  The classes are developed by a committee of
volunteers who do a wonderful job of offering a variety of topics.
