Send a tribute:
Giving a tribute gift is a thoughtful way of celebrating a special occasion, honoring someone special, or
remembering a loved one. The person or persons you designate will receive a card with notice of your
contribution, without indicating the amount of the contribution. In addition, you will receive a written
acknowledgement of your tax deductible gift.
Matching Gifts:
Many companies offer a matching gifts program. Does your company, or former employer, offer this option? If
so, you may be able to double the value of your gift to SCWK. Check with your employer to request matching
gift forms or information. This is really a great way to help the SCWK continue their valuable programs.
Annual Gift:
Our annual appeal is the “Giving Tree.” This special group of annual donors helps to sustain the important
programs and services offered at our Shepherd’s Center. To recognize their generosity, donors’ names are
inscribed on our Giving Tree plaque, unless otherwise requested. Gifts can be given any time of the year. In
2008 we have received a matching gift from the Roland Quest Memorial Fund, a component fund of the
Greater St. Louis Community Foundation. They will generously match the first $5000 we receive in Giving Tree
gifts.

By naming our Shepherd’s Center in your will or estate plans you will be contributing to the future of our center
which makes it possible for many older adults to live vital and independent lives. Information about bequests,
trusts, and charitable gift annuities are available through your professional advisors. Our legal name is
Shepherd’s Center of Webster/Kirkwood. Please contact SCWK Executive Director, Gayle McHenry, for
further information.
