Interfaith support As an interfaith organization we seek, solicit and depend on the support and sponsorship of the religious congregations in this community. The Shepherd’s Center does not attempt to do for the congregations what they are expected to do for their members, but it does enable congregations to work together to accomplish what they could not do separately. We believe, to quote John C. Maxwell, that “Collaboration is Multiplication.” Congregations look to the Shepherd’s Center to augment their adult education and use our programs and services to help care for their older members. Our interfaith support provides a venue for clergy from various traditions to meet and to teach together. It is our hope that by building on an ecumenical and interfaith coalition, that collaborates to care for older adults in our community, each ministry will be strengthened.
All of this is done with love and coordination through our Shepherd’s Center. Our center is aiding many seniors in this community and likely many from your congregation. We would like any congregation to become a part of this important ministry.
Here are some ways your congregation can join us:
Volunteering, we have many opportunities
Financial support, help sustain our services.
Shepherd’s Center Representative/Ambassador, spread the good word.
Networking and collaboration learn from each other.
“Usually when you collaborate with others, you win, they win, and the team wins.” - John C. Maxwell -
