Shepherd’s Center Volunteers
The Shepherd’s Center is a volunteer organization Volunteers are the heart of our Shepherd’s Center.
Volunteers are not just the hands, head and heart of the Shepherd’s Center; they ARE the Shepherd’s
Center. They are the embodiment and expression of a caring ministry that is our Shepherd’s Center.
Our Shepherd’s Center is run by volunteer leaders, the staff role is to support, coordinate and nurture the
work of the volunteers.
Everyone has gifts and talents to share with neighbors and the Center is a place to do just that. In 2008
we have had 160 people volunteering to do 220 jobs. An important aspect of our work is that most of the
volunteers working within our programs and services – teaching, learning, helping, giving, receiving – are
older adults themselves. Simply people helping people. Neighbors helping neighbors.
If you wish to volunteer, we are looking for you! We have many opportunities you may want to consider.
